As our school Social Worker you will provide high quality, coordinated, intensive social work support services for students who are part of our CARE school - Communicare Academy.
In this role you will:
Assess and respond to students complex needs to enhance their capacity to maintain their educational journey.
Collaboratively assess the needs of students to coordinate, monitor, evaluate and advocate for engagement with relevant services to meet the individual’s complex needs.
Provide needs based interventions using evidence-based assessment tools to measure and support change in a collaborative and fully integrated way.
This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis working 76 hours per fortnight. This role is not required to work during school holidays.

Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable people living in complex circumstances and providing intensive individualised support.
Advanced interpersonal and trauma-informed communication skills.
Intermediate computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
Intermediate customer service skills.
Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
Strong understanding of CALD and Aboriginal culture and family dynamics.
Broad knowledge of social work interventions, models and approaches.
Ability to apply research knowledge and skills to understand, evaluate and inform practice.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Ability to identity, establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
Current Provide First Aid Certificate
Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
Unrestricted drivers’ licence
Current Working With Children Check
