About White Ribbon Australia
White Ribbon Australia is the world’s largest social movement engaging men and boys to start conversations and take action to reduce all forms of violence against women. We deliver a range of primary prevention programs to educate communities, schools, and workplaces across the country. Our programs and campaigns are evidence-based, supported by national and international research.
Since 2020, White Ribbon Australia has been a subsidiary of Communicare Group Limited, with a high-performing team of primary prevention experts distributed across Australia. Position Overview
As the Director White Ribbon Australia, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. You will guide the social movement of White Ribbon Australia, expand engagement with men and boys, and drive sustainable growth in fundraising and donations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership in Social Change: Lead a primary prevention movement engaging men and boys for lasting social change, including advocacy across all states and territories.
Focus on the Ribbon: Ensure the White Ribbon remains the central symbol and voice of the movement.
Building a Sustainable Movement: Increase revenue to fund community engagement, social change initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
Lead a National Teams: Lead a high-performing, nationally distributed team, fostering collaboration and a positive culture.
Strategic Planning and Reporting: Drive the strategic direction and sustainability of White Ribbon Australia, translating strategy into operational goals.
Service Excellence and Performance: Establish service delivery excellence, develop innovative solutions, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based products and programs.
Financial and Commercial Management: Oversee annual budgeting, financial forecasts, and identify funding opportunities.
Partnership Development: Build strong, collaborative, and sustainable partnerships aligned with strategic, advocacy, and operational goals.
Stakeholder Management and Advocacy: Maintain high-level relationships across key stakeholders and build strong, trusting advocacy partnerships and coalitions.
If you have proven acumen for business development, building strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and have strong leadership, coaching and management skills we would love to hear from you.
An understanding of stakeholder engagement models for managing a social movement and knowledge of engaging boys and men in primary prevention behaviour change would also be fantastic. A tertiary qualification in Business, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent experience would be desirable.
This is a permanent full time position working 76 hours a fortnight. Enjoy remote work from home flexibility with options to be based in WA, SA, QLD, NSW, ACT, or VIC.
