Join Communicare’s Breathing Space program – a residential behaviour change program for men who use violence and abuse in their relationships. As the Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team in delivering therapeutic, evidence-based interventions that support men to change their behaviour and enhance the safety of women, children and their families.
The Role
Lead the day-to-day operations of Communicare’s Breathing Space program at Maylands
Manage a multidisciplinary team including Facilitators, Intake and Assessment Specialists, Support Workers, Family Safety Advocates and Cultural Advisors.
Ensure a high-quality delivery of group work, case management and advocacy.
Oversee risk management, policy compliance and program integrity.
Build strong relationships with Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCO’s), government departments, community organisations and other stakeholders.
This position will be located in Maylands and is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight. Due to the nature of the position and industry, shift work and travel may be required.

Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in the human services field, and/or experience in family and domestic violence.
Experience in managing and leading high-performing teams.
Advanced communication (written, verbal and public speaking), interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to forge and maintain strong and collaborative relationships and alliances that enhance organisational capacity.
Advanced people management skills, including the ability to lead and manage people and resources to achieve consistent outcomes, and provide professional supervision.
Advanced knowledge in Family and Domestic Violence and Abuse service delivery and practice development
Unrestricted drivers’ licence.
Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date).
Working With Children Check.
Willingness to obtain a Department of Justice Clearance if required.
