About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Business Development to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of our organisation’s business development activities. This critical executive role is responsible for driving growth, sustainability, and innovation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Lead effective tender responses, business cases and proposals that create positive social impact.
Strategic Planning: Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
Data Analysis: Maintains an expert awareness of sector issues, emerging trends, changes in the environment and key areas of responsibility, utilising data to assist in the development of comprehensive plans and strategies.
Financial and Commercial Management: Oversee the planning, drafting, negotiation, and execution of service contracts and funding agreements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Maintain high-level relationships across key stakeholders and build strong, productive partnerships and coalitions.
This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis working 76 hours a fortnight.

About You
You are an accomplished leader with:
Significant experience in business development at a senior level in the human services sector.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing change.
Demonstrated ability to lead funding and contract negotiation.
Experience in risk management and compliance relating to service contracts.
Exceptional skills in opportunity generation, horizon scanning, analytical, and problem-solving.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder relationship capabilities.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, mental health, public health or related fields or, a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related fields.
