The Role

Reporting to the Funding and Partnerships Manager, this is a pivotal role in driving our organisation’s growth and impact through strategic funding acquisition. identifying opportunities and preparing compelling, high-quality submissions that bring our work to life.

As the Grants and Tender Writing Partner, you will coordinate the end-to-end tender and grant process researching opportunities, liaising with internal experts, crafting persuasive content, and ensuring every submission meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

 

Whilst this role is based at our Cannington office on a permanent full time basis (76hrs per fortnight), Communicare offer flexible working options as we understand how important this is to maintain work - life balance.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively research and assess new funding and grant opportunities Aligned with our mission and strategic goals.

  • Coordinate and compose high-quality submissions that reflect Communicare’s expertise and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to translate complex ideas into persuasive, outcomes-focused proposals

  •  Maintain funding records, timelines, and reporting dashboards.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of funding trends, eligibility criteria and sector priorities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement  processes within the Funding Lifecycle Framework.

  

About You

You’re a confident , and strategic communicator who enjoys turning complex ideas into clear, persuasive writing. You bring advanced writing skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with ease. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by the opportunity to shape meaningful change through your work. In addition this this, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in tender writing, grants, or business development (ideally in community services or a not-for-profit).

  • Strong coordination skills and theability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for helping others succeed.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Communications, Business, or similar) is desirable.
