About the role
We are seeking a Community Development Coordinator to join EACH's Early Childhood Approach Team. Reporting to the Team Leader Community Development, this is a part-time (22.8 hours per week) role based out of our Goulburn, NSW location. As the Community Development Coordinator, you will have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of children, their families, and carers by:

  • Facilitating engaging and culturally appropriate education and capacity building programs,
  • Using data-driven insights to inform community development initiatives,
  • Building and maintaining key stakeholder networks, and
  • Working collaboratively with the community to build opportunities for greater inclusion for young children experiencing developmental delay and disability.

A bit about you...
To thrive in this role, you will:

  • Share EACH's values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; modeling inclusive behaviours and contributing to a culture of belonging,
  • Be experienced in developing and implementing community development, engagement, and capacity-building initiatives,
  • Enjoy engaging with members of the community and be comfortable speaking in public, featuring in webinars, and contributing to podcasts,
  • Have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse communities,
  • Be proficient in the use of digital technologies and software, including Microsoft 365, to enhance productivity (e.g. you can create and deliver a presentation in PowerPoint, host a webinar in Microsft Teams, and produce short video tutorials using screen sharing software), and
  • Hold qualifications in Community Development, Social Sciences, Inclusion and Diversity, or relevant professional field.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • An understanding of the NDIS Early Years Approach and early childhood best practice principles,
  • Familiarity with the local community and mainstream services, supports and resources, and
  • Experience in a community development role.

About the Team
The Early Years Approach team at EACH is a group of committed allied health professionals, teachers, social workers, and educators. We partner with the NDIS to support families and children with developmental delays and disabilities to access early intervention that will help them to develop the skills they need to take part in everyday activities and to be included in family and community life.
